The Venetian Ball
Our inspiration for this Venetian Ball was a themed evening punting through Venice, with dark undertones of guests dancing in mysterious masks at a celebratory party with suspense lurking in the atmosphere of this dramatic evening.
Magnificient black stone urns abundantly filled with beautiful blousy deep burgundy peonies and bright David Austin ‘Beatrice’ roses were placed in and around the beautiful gardens and marquee. A gorgeous garland of fabulous flowers decorated the entrance. Golden sphinx roses, feathery astilbe and vibrant orange asclepias nestled amongst peonies and textured foliage.
Dramatic feather centrepieces with delicate dendrobin orchids added to the elegance and sophistication of this wonderful event.
ENO Gala
This event, staged in the grand Whitehall Banqueting Building, was done in association with the Academy of Flowers Covent Garden. This magnificent hall had an impact of its own with its fabulous painted ceiling and minstrels’ gallery.
We built stunning arrangements of white wax flowers with white tulips, white parrot tulips, ivy leaf and eucalyptus on towering elegant candlesticks.
Christmas at the RAC Country Club Woodcote
For their Christmas party we provided flamboyant arrangements of fragrant Grand Prix roses mixed with hypericum berries to provide texture and interspersed with mini lime green chrysanthemums to offset the rich dark foliage. A truly striking display!
New Years Eve at the RAC Country Club Woodcote
The Royal Automobile Country Club is one of Surrey’s finest private members club. On New Years Eve we dressed elegant tall candelabras with large white distinctive anthuruim flowers and gentle blooms of white lisianthus. This created an opulent ambience to this exquisite banqueting room.
The Copacabana Ball
The Copacabana Ball was dramatic, colourful and vibrant. The stunning floral garland around the entrance gave a flavour of the abundance of colour to come. Contemporary flowers of gebras, lilies and roses in rich colours of cerise pink, bright yellow and zesty orange set the tone. Arranged in tall martini glasses we combined the flowers with feathers to create drama and impact. Old-fashioned urns placed around the marquee with striking elegant flowers and feathers incorporated within them provided further gravitas to this stunning celebration.
The Late Summer Ball
The Rt Hon Chris Grayling MP, Secretary of State for Justice, recently hosted a spectacular charity ball for the Sunnybank Trust at Denbies Vineyard, near Dorking. Our brief was to create a glamorous ambience by embracing the colours of the vineyard and to include grapes from the vines. A combination of white avalanche, the undisputed queen of roses, flamboyant lime chrysanthemums and large deep blue thistle echoed the vineyard setting.
The Rose Ball
Every year the City of Freemans London School hosts a ball and this year the theme was ‘Rose’. It was held in the Burford Bridge Hotel’s beautiful Tithe Barn. A display of rich giant blue delphiniums, cerise gladioli and magnificent large blue hydrangeas created a dramatic welcome for the guests. To complement this lovely rustic setting we created stunning cerise topiary trees formed from eucalyptus and small dusky pink roses dressed with satin pink ribbons.
The Citrus Ball
The client wanted to create an immediate visual and fragrant impact through a citrus theme for this grand annual ball. We created striking displays of roses and tulips in strong yellows and crisp whites, interspersed with lemons and limes. Large urns placed around the marquee created warmth and grandeur. Smaller arrangements in cocktail glasses displayed on the bar added a splash of elegance.
Box Hill Jubilee Celebration
Box Hill School marked the momentous events of 2012 with a grand celebration in a magnificent marquee. Our starting point was the union jack, which was reflected throughout in the colours we used.
Tall topiary trees created impact in this large space. We brought in warmth and a sense of celebration through larger arrangements in patriotic colours, which were placed around the marquee to complete the effect.
